The Role:
You will report into the Director. The Analyst will support the Investment Team in executing transactions, managing existing investments, originating and developing the investment pipeline, supporting fundraising and assisting with sustainability and impact initiatives. Investment targets may include infrastructure assets or portfolio companies, across the energy transition sector.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating, structuring and negotiating investment opportunities, as part of a team
- Preparing financial models for specific assets as well as running fund models
- Preparing valuations and reporting materials for the Funds
- Coordinating with technical, commercial, legal and financial advisors, as well as lenders, developers, and other key stakeholders
- Assisting in the due diligence process for prospective investments
- Supporting and managing investments following acquisition, which may include working closely with construction and development teams, as well as portfolio companies
- Preparing Investment Committee papers
- Learning about new technologies and markets and deepening knowledge about existing target sectors, including changes in regulation
- Working collaboratively with the team and taking responsibility for quality and accuracy of output
Experience:
- 1-2 years' experience in an investment fund, banking, advisory, or similar, including financial modelling
- Background in infrastructure or renewable energy more specifically preferred
- Educated to degree level with a strong academic record
