The Project Manager leads and matures the delivery function of a rapidly scaling platform team, bringing structure, predictability, and senior-level challenges to a complex and evolving environment. Ensures disciplined, evidence-based delivery, embeds agile ways of working, and translates technical roadmaps into credible, outcome-driven plans that enable confident decision-making and cross-organisational alignment. Also has depth and breadth of experience in Waterfall delivery methodology.

Delivery Leadership

  • Leads end-to-end delivery across all platform initiatives, ensuring work is strategically sequenced, prioritised, and appropriately resourced.
  • Brings structure and predictability to a fast-scaling environment through disciplined delivery practices and clear governance.
  • Provides authoritative oversight, surfacing scope changes, dependencies, risks and decision points early.
  • Creates clarity from ambiguity, offering direction where problem spaces are evolving or unclear.
  • Drives accountability and performance, ensuring teams maintain focus, alignment, and high delivery standards.
  • Ensures delivery narratives and plans are credible, evidence-based, enabling senior stakeholders to make informed decisions with trust and transparency.

Agile Delivery & Ways of Working

  • Champions modern delivery practices, embedding agile principles that enable adaptability while maintaining rigour.
  • Evolves the platform team from start-up-style ways of working to scalable, repeatable and well-governed frameworks.
  • Uses retrospectives, metrics, and feedback loops to enhance efficiency, predictability, and team effectiveness.
  • Translates strategy into operational ways of working – designing processes, rhythms, and workflows that turn high-level objectives into actionable plans.
  • Promotes data-driven delivery, ensuring squads use insights, capacity trends, and delivery metrics to inform prioritisation and planning.
  • Removes blockers at pace providing guidance on adaptive planning, iterative value delivery and supports teams in navigating change confidently.

Stakeholder Management & Influence

  • Acts as the primary interface between Technology, Product, and senior leadership programme stakeholder.
  • Navigating shifting expectations with balanced judgement, clear communication, and transparent reporting.
  • Builds trusted, influential relationships across senior teams.
  • Adapts communication style to ensure clarity for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintains credibility under pressure, using diplomacy, resilience, and structured facilitation to manage difficult conversations.
  • Ensures stakeholders remain aligned and informed with purposeful updates and meaningful delivery insights.

Cross-Enterprise Programme Coordination

  • Coordinates complex; cross-enterprise initiatives reliant on platform capabilities.
  • Works closely with Product, Technology, and Operations to ensure end-to-end readiness, governance, and business preparation.
  • Identifies interdependencies and drives coordinated delivery across functions to ensure seamless execution.

Strategic Thinking & Operational Discipline

  • Connects day-to-day delivery with long-term platforms and organisational objectives.
  • Shifts effectively between high-level planning and hands-on operational execution.
  • Applies disciplined prioritisation grounded in business value, risk, and organisational impact.
  • Drives operational excellence through structured governance, controls, and continuous improvement.
  • Uses data-driven insights to guide planning, resourcing, and risk mitigation.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven track record delivering complex digital programmes in rapidly scaling environments.
  • Strong understanding of platform technologies, agile delivery, and product-centric operating models.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage challenging stakeholders with resilience and constructive influence.
  • Adept at bringing structure, governance, and predictable delivery to fast-growing teams.
  • Skilled in balancing near-term delivery needs with long-lasting strategic priorities.

  • Minimum 5 years in financial services background (ideally Wealth Management) – Investment Management & Financial Advice.
  • Regulatory understanding – ‘Spirit of the law’.
  • Working with Vendors/Suppliers.
  • Working with second-and third-line controls (Infosec, Risk, Audit).
  • Platform delivery.
  • Product Development including digital portals and apps.
  • FNZ.
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Data Warehouse.
  • Prince2/APMP/Agile qualifications.
