About the Role

This role will be responsible for developing and growing new business opportunities for the UK platform by identifying and targeting growth opportunities that offer scope to sell in our proposition and/or our in‑house fund solutions. This role requires the successful candidate to establish credible and strong external relationships with businesses that can create profitable and sustainable growth across the UK IFA market. In addition, the role will need to work collaboratively across the regional distribution teams and broader Quilter teams to support and grow account opportunities. The role will need to implement effective strategies, using our breadth of proposition and solutions, that enable us to achieve business goals. The role holder will need to work alongside internal stakeholders across the Commercial Proposition teams to inform future propositional solutions that deliver good customer outcomes. The role holder will be responsible for driving growth in Quilter Invest across all channels, including referral of advisers as appropriate and adoption of this new solution.
Key responsibilities & scope of role:
- Ensure the delivery of relevant business plan targets
- Communicate vision and strategy to the distribution team so they understand their role and contribute toward business objectives
- Use MI & data to ensure team activities leverage the best business results
- Drive and deliver increased investment solution adoption across strategic relationships and prospect & engage segment
- Maintain strong relationships with leading strategic firms
- Align with Specialist resources across Strategic Accounts & Prospect & Engage to drive flows (Investment, Retirement Solutions & Platform)
- Build and maintain mutually beneficial, trust‑based internal and external relationships with key stakeholders
- Resolve disagreements and operational issues that impact team effectiveness using appropriate methods to ensure fair outcomes
- Oversee, lead, motivate and manage the Strategic Development team, Prospect & Engage and new Quilter Invest team
- Be accountable for achievement and measurement of all aligned team members’ KPIs (SDM’s and WSCs) using the agreed framework
- Provide day‑to‑day management, coaching, leadership and support to aligned teams in executing their duties
- Conduct regular team meetings and monthly 1‑1s to help team members understand strengths, development needs and action plans
- Ensure full embrace of Salesforce as the business management tool
- Follow up all marketing campaigns and their success within the aligned team
- Report regularly and timely to the Distribution Director on activity and progress
- Represent Quilter at presentations, events, workshops, seminars, etc.
- Control expenses and budget where appropriate
- Build strong relationships across the business, including Quilter Cheviot, Quilter Investments, Quilter Invest and Quilter Financial Planning, identifying opportunities to leverage knowledge, skills and experience for mutual benefit
- Deliver Data & Integration strategy across platform distribution
About You
- Successful track record in engaging with advisers and substantial experience of the UK financial services market.
- Good understanding of retail financial services, UK tax products and UK regulation.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to negotiate, build relationships and lead through influence.
- Build and manage relationships at board level with large advisory firms to agree strategies that grow platform assets, our in‑house fund solutions and Quilter Invest.
- Delivery focused with high energy and drive, and the ability to deliver through others.
- Commercially astute with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Recognised professional qualifications commensurate with the seniority of the role.
