About the Role

This role supports the delivery of IT and business audits across Quilter’s Internal Audit Plan, helping protect the organisation’s assets, reputation, and sustainability. You will assess whether key risks are appropriately identified, reported, and effectively controlled, while identifying opportunities to strengthen governance, risk management, and internal controls. The focus is on Technology audits (applications, infrastructure, thematic reviews) and related areas including cyber security, third‑party risk, data privacy, and operational resilience. As a GIA Audit Specialist, you will deliver audits end‑to‑end, working to agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver audits across planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
  • Engage stakeholders to understand processes and key risks.
  • Perform risk‑focused testing and root cause analysis.
  • Produce clear, practical audit findings and recommendations.
  • Keep stakeholders informed and build strong working relationships.
  • Deliver work in line with methodology, timelines, and budgets.

Other GIA Activities

  • Perform quarterly Issue Assurance reviews.
  • Support risk monitoring and audit planning.
  • Review business MI (e.g. financials, incidents, complaints).
  • Contribute to team initiatives, including continuous improvement and use of data/analytics.

About You

  • Experience in a risk and controls‑focused role (e.g. Internal/External Audit, Risk, or Compliance).
  • Good understanding of IT and business risk and controls within Wealth and Asset Management.
  • Knowledge of relevant Technology and Security regulations, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of IT General Controls (e.g. access, change management, IT operations).
  • Ability to clearly articulate audit findings in a business context.
  • Ideally holds a relevant qualification (e.g. CISA, CISM, CRISC, ACA, ACCA, IMC, CFA or similar).

Desirable

  • Experience in third‑party risk, business continuity, cyber security, and data/privacy controls.
  • Exposure to auditing emerging technologies, IT infrastructure, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience using data analytics in audit testing.
