About the Role

This is a key role within Quilter Cheviot, engaging with Board, Exco and internal stakeholders to develop HNW business strategy. The Strategy team supports the Quilter Cheviot Executive in developing strategy, market and peer performance comparison and insights, and reviewing inorganic growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Working with the key stakeholders in developing HNW segment strategy, including HNW inorganic strategy
  • Preparing presentations and related documents for Board and Executive strategic discussions including supporting content development for internal and external presentations as required
  • Lead or support review of inorganic opportunities and other strategic initiatives, and oversee execution as required
  • Understand and be able to communicate Quilter\’s strategic objectives and critical success factors
  • Work with the Strategy and Strategic Change team to articulate initiatives in the next strategic horizon, and produce Executive and Board papers articulating these initiatives for Board Strategy reviews
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders from across HNW\’s Senior Leader Community, through communication and engagement to become a trusted partner; gaining insight into their future plans and demand for change / investment, understanding the current progress of their strategic initiatives.
  • Perform detailed qualitative and quantitative market analysis of HNW and compare performance to key peers

About You

Key behaviours and skills include:

  • Confidence in engaging, working with and managing internal stakeholders to develop strategy and drive outcomes; with ability to adapt approach to suit a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with prior strategy experience supporting strategy development and corporate finance initiatives.
  • Strategy and/or Corporate Finance experience, either in-house, bank or consultancy.
  • Knowledge and experience to actively challenge the detail of all strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to produce Executive and Board level governance materials within strict deadlines, ensuring attention to detail.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment, that requires someone who is both adaptable and a self-starter.
  • Comfortable to work independently, taking full ownership of assigned deliverables as well as manage a project team.
  • An interest in Investment and Wealth management sector and related development essential.
  • Excellent writing skills and English language proficiency. Experience in MS Office specifically, MS Word and MS PowerPoint (must be able to produce MS PowerPoint Presentations effortlessly, and to a high-quality standard).
