Due to expansion, Quilter Private Client Advisers is currently looking for employed Financial Planners to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team. Our Financial Planners are part of our regional teams, providing financial planning advice to private clients with complex needs. Working collaboratively across Quilter’s Wealth Management Division, often in partnership with our Investment Managers, you will offer clients a bespoke financial plan and ongoing service. Our Financial Planners are capable of growing our numbers of clients, both from referrals and new relationships. We welcome ideas from our Financial Planners, offering support to drive growth through your own innovation.

You will become a key part of our regional teams, providing financial planning advice to private clients with complex needs. This is likely to include areas such as protection needs, savings and investments, retirement and pensions, and estate management including trusts and inheritance tax planning. You’ll manage a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, delivering the required elements relevant to their chosen service level and fee level.

You’ll seek appropriate business opportunities, both from new and existing clients, working closely with Quilter Cheviot. For example, attending events, being active in local business and communities, following up leads, explaining the Wealth Management Division’s services to potential new clients and following up on all opportunities to obtain new clients as well as developing relationships with professional connections.

Working closely with your Financial Planning Manager you will help to develop growth plans, contributing to the wider business plan and provide coaching/advice to members of the team, helping to develop our people as well as new business opportunities. You’ll also have the opportunity to provide input into our proposition, service, and colleague development initiatives as an active member of the team. You’ll ensure all advice provided is within a strict ethical and compliance framework, ensuring that all operations affecting clients are carried out in accordance with FCA rules, whilst putting clients at the heart of our business.

About You

A self-starter with business development and origination skills, fresh thinking, and lots of ideas. You’ll be comfortable with change, able to navigate rapidly changing environments.

You’ll also need a strong level of technical and product knowledge with highly developed compliance and risk skills, as well as the ability to keep up and distil industry developments. You’ll need to be qualified in level 4 standard in Financial Planning as a minimum. Other qualifications, for example, Institute Investment Advice Certificate, the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate, the ATT from the Association of Taxation Technicians or the ATII from The Chartered Institute of Taxation would be an advantage.
