Affluent encompasses the financial planning business, Quilter Financial Planning, the Quilter Investment Platform and Quilter Investors, the multi-asset investment solutions business. To manage a team of accountants and accounts assistants who own reconciliations and other ledger inputs and controls as well as driving improvements in the downstream processes feeding the ledgers, reconciliations and the overall integrity of the Trial Balance. Key responsibilities will include:
- Exercising robust oversight over the Group's financial operations and controls, thereby supporting the integrity of accounting records.
- Working with non-Finance teams to understand the processes and MI supporting the accounting records.
- Supporting the Finance Operations Manager, who oversees the balance sheet, liaising with the external auditors and managing the relevant control and governance frameworks.
- Reviewing and signing off reconciliations, providing feedback and overseeing exception management.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record demonstrating experience in the following areas:
- Advocating for change, challenging the status quo and seeking improvements and efficiencies.
- Experience in dealing with the external auditors, managing the relevant control and governance frameworks.
- Accounting background.
- Has experience of dealing with ambiguity, navigating complex organisational structures, and managing multiple different types of stakeholders.
- Ability to build strong relationships.
- Fast paced, who can use their initiative on solving problems / issues.
