About the Role
- This role requires a strong team player who can work effectively with colleagues to help meet regulatory obligations, including responding to Data Subject Access Requests and incident management processes.
- Conduct remote assessments of Quilter’s AR firms via Microsoft Teams, ensuring compliance with GDPR, PECR, and DPA 2018.
- Schedule and manage assessments, identify non‑compliance, and provide guidance on meeting requirements.
- Communicate findings, highlight gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
- Build relationships and act as a trusted Data Protection adviser.
- Translate legislation and policies into practical business requirements.
- Work with Relationship Managers and Oversight teams to capture risk profiles.
- Stay current on Data Protection laws and complete mandatory training.
- Advocate for Data Protection best practices to protect client rights.
- Challenge and improve oversight frameworks in line with regulatory changes.
- Respond promptly to internal and AR firm queries.
- Support handling of DSARs and incident triage with accurate, timely responses.
- Manage diary and upload assessment documentation promptly.
About You
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex Data Protection requirements clearly.
- Solid understanding of GDPR, PECR, and DPA 2018, ideally within a regulated industry (e.g., Financial Services).
- Effective time management and prioritisation; capable of managing workload to meet regulatory priorities.
- Proven ability to build relationships and act as a trusted Data Protection adviser.
- Hands‑on experience with key Data Protection processes: Data Subject Rights, incident management, DPIAs, and query resolution.
Desirable
- Experience using OneTrust.
- Relevant qualification (e.g., Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection, CIPP/E, CIPP/M).
