As a key member of the Quilter Financial Planning Advice Policy team, you will provide expert knowledge to facilitate the development of robust and proportionate business and advice policies to meet regulatory demands and support strategic objectives and initiatives. You will manage a diverse range of activities relating to advice, and adviser conduct, as well as support broader teams with technical queries and escalations, and advice proposition design.
- Use analytical skills and FCA Handbook knowledge to contribute to the development of proportionate yet robust Business & Advice Policy and controls.
- Create/revise QFP business & advice policies and guidance, ensuring that these are concise, comprehensive and accessible, to meet regulatory and other required changes.
- Draft papers for QFP Committees setting out proposed enhancements to advice policy and standards, as appropriate.
- Provide architectural thought and design to the advice policies and processes to ensure consistency and compliance across all financial planning, mortgage, and protection advice areas, as well as alignment to strategic advice proposition development.
- Develop effective processes and relationships with key stakeholders across 1LoD distribution, proposition, and operations teams, and 2LoD compliance and risk functions.
- Support the Head of Advice Policy and the wider team in delivery of key regulatory, strategic, and project activity that may impact the department.
Whilst this isn’t a directly customer facing role, the duties you will perform will contribute to the overall positive outcomes for our customers by ensuring that the design of QFP's Distribution Advisory policies and standards are robust and enable both advisers and QFP to deliver consistently strong outcomes.
You will be analytical with attention to detail but with experience of delivering a standards and control environment into an advice distribution model, particularly large-scale ones. The ability to collaborate confidentially and effectively with a wide and diverse group of senior stakeholders, with different business perspectives, to develop a proportionate outcome is critical to the effectiveness and success of the model.

Financial Planning Diploma level 4 (essential), level 6 (desirable) or demonstratable technical experience in a similar role.
