About the Role
Level - 5, Department - Compliance, Location - Southampton/ London, Contract - Permanent. The role supports the Head of Risk & Compliance (COO and Group Functions) in delivering high-quality risk, compliance and assurance activities across Quilter's COO, People, Legal and Company Secretarial functions. Sitting within the Second Line of Defence, it plays a critical part in advising senior leaders, challenging effectively, and ensuring strategic objectives are met. The scope covers a wide remit including Technology, Cyber Security, Operational Resilience, Change, Third-Party Management, Contact Centres, and oversight of FNZ as Quilter's Third-Party Investment Administration provider. This position works closely with Risk, Compliance and Financial Crime teams, offering broad exposure across the organisation. It is ideally suited to someone with extensive risk management experience and strong stakeholder influence at Executive Committee level.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert risk and compliance advice, guidance and challenge to COO, People, Legal and CoSec senior leaders.
- Support delivery of strategic objectives by offering insight, assurance and oversight in line with Quilter's Second Line framework.
- Oversee risk and compliance matters across key COO areas including IT, Cyber Security, Operational Resilience, Change, Third-Party Management and Contact Centre operations.
- Contribute to the oversight of the FNZ Third-Party Investment Administration provider.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance and Financial Crime colleagues to ensure aligned and effective second-line activities.
- Produce clear, high-quality reporting, insights and recommendations for Executive Committee members and leadership teams.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, offering constructive challenge to drive appropriate risk culture and decision-making.
- Engage across the wider Risk & Compliance community, contributing to broader organisational initiatives and continuous improvement.
About You
- Detailed and thorough understanding of the Wealth industry and platform businesses.
- Experience of the Operational Resilience and Third-Party Risk Management agendas.
- Knowledge of EU, PRA and FCA risk management expectations including Solvency II, CRD IV and specifically ORSA, ICARA and ICAAP experience.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), with strong stakeholder management & relationship building skills.
