Business Establishment Manager

The Business Establishment Manager (BEM) holds a key function for the new self‑employed Adviser to QFA. In their first year with the National business the Business Establishment Manager will act as their line manager, business coach, and role model to prepare them for integration into the regional team structure. Getting advisers productive in that period is key to an adviser being able to thrive with Quilter by building a strong business.

They will carry out many of the functions that the current Regional Directors have, but on a more intensive basis, with a smaller span of control allowing for more time with individuals. The role holder responsibilities include leading by example, demonstrating, and coaching an adviser through all key elements to create the foundations needed. The Business Establishment Manager will meet regularly with their advisers, give them hands‑on support including demonstrating, observing client meetings, and coaching the valuable skills successful advisers need.

To that end it is a field‑based role. While we use technology when appropriate, time will be spent in the field with the adviser for maximum impact, with travel involved and on occasion overnights due to geography.

As a Business Establishment Manager you have a proven track record of driving results whilst building and maintaining strong relationships throughout the business. You\’re someone who thrives on challenge and has the drive to see things through, leading by influence at all levels.

Qualifications

• A natural negotiator and leader with knack for creative problem‑solving and adeptness at resolving conflicts.
• Experience in this field, holding a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning Advice.
• Values credibility, professionalism and personal integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as line manager, coach and role model to QFA advisers.
• Lead by example and demonstrate key elements to create strong foundations.
• Provide hands‑on support and observe client meetings.
• Spend time in the field, including travel and occasional overnight stays.
• Guide and mentor advisers to success, leveraging leadership skills.
