About The Role

  • Level: 3
  • Department: Investment Management
  • Location: London - 4 days in the office
  • Contract: 12 month FTC

We are hiring an Investment Administrator to support two Investment Managers within our London office. The role involves a wide range of administrative responsibilities and requires someone who is organised, professional, and confident working in a fast‑paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to queries from Investment Managers, private clients, and both internal and external financial advisers via telephone and email.
  • Support the full lifecycle of client accounts – from opening new accounts, assisting with ongoing administration, to closing accounts – ensuring all processes remain fully compliant.
  • Assist with general team administration, including:
  • Answering inbound calls
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations
  • Drafting suitability letters and maintaining suitability affirmations
  • Inputting BAC and CHAPS payments
  • Preparing account valuations and other statements
  • Helping to produce investment proposals
  • Assisting regular client reporting using Outlook mail merge
  • Draft and respond to client correspondence, including emails and letters.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Professional telephone manner, as you will frequently interact with high‑net‑worth clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure, particularly during busy periods such as quarter‑end and tax year‑end.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong IT skills are an advantage.
  • Some experience within the investment or wealth management sector is preferred.

Working arrangements & training

The role is based in our London office and typically requires 4–5 days per week onsite, particularly during initial onboarding and training. You will report to the Team Head, as well as the Investment Managers and Investment Assistants. Full training will be provided. We are a collaborative team, and your progression will reflect your ability to learn and take on varied tasks.

Additional Notes

Although you will assist Investment Managers closely, this position does not ordinarily lead to the trainee Investment Manager career track. Additional support for other Investment Managers in the team may be required on occasion.

About You

Ideally you will have experience in a similar role as an Investment Administrator within Wealth or Investment Management, however this is not essential. We will also consider candidates who are starting their career and looking for their first opportunity within Investment Management. To be successful in this role you will be an independent worker and thinker. You have an interest in financial services or have a good understanding of our financial services where you can utilise your knowledge and experience within investment management. A good level of communication skills is required. A good level of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is required.

Inclusion & Diversity

We value diversity and strive to promote inclusivity in all aspects of our culture. We believe in equal opportunities for all, ensuring that no applicant encounters less favourable treatment based on anything but their skills, qualifications, experience, and potential. We celebrate the unique contributions of a diverse workforce and create a respectful, nurturing environment where every colleague can thrive.
