About The Role

This is a client and growth focused high-impact role for a Financial Planner who enjoys winning new business, building long-term relationships and being rewarded for overall performance. You will grow the lower and high net worth aligned existing client base alongside utilising your own business development skills to grow the client base. You’ll have the backing of a strong brand, marketing support and specialist investment teams—so you can focus on doing great work for clients and winning new ones. You’ll drive deeper client engagement providing holistic advice to the existing clients’ and also new client growth increasing assets under advice and overall profitability.

Using your own network (and warm leads from Quilter), you’ll build a strong pipeline and convert opportunities into loyal, long‑term client relationships—supported by marketing, colleagues and discretionary investment specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow an existing client base.
  • Win new clients through your professional network (accountants, solicitors, corporate advisers) and Quilter referrals, converting enquiries into new relationships.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline—running events, following up quickly and creating a consistent flow of new business.
  • Own your growth plan and targets (activity, pipeline and conversion), with coaching and support from the Area Director and distribution partners.
  • Keep everything compliant—meeting FCA requirements and Quilter values and standards, generating great client outcomes and documentation.
  • Advancing QC’s external Brand and developing a strong personal reputation for your professionalism and the quality of your advice / client service.

Consumer Duty

This role is within scope of the Consumer Duty and is expected to comply with Quilter Cheviot Consumer Duty policies and requirements. Senior Managers able to generate new business through referrals and an agreed distribution plan. Adaptable and up to date with the market, turning insights into clear, positive outcomes for clients.

Essential

  • Level 4 (Diploma) in Financial Planning (minimum).
  • Experience giving regulated advice to high-net-worth private clients, with strong communication skills and regulatory adherence/ awareness.

Desirable

  • Advanced Financial Planning qualifications and/or the Investment Advice Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Experience advising existing and new high-net-worth clients and working closely with Discretionary Investment Management.
