The role

This is a senior role for someone who already operates with the confidence, maturity and ambition of a strong Senior Account Director. You will lead important client relationships, take responsibility for the commercial health and creative quality of your accounts, and help drive growth across the agency. You will need to be comfortable with senior clients, creative teams, strategists, producers, finance and junior account handlers. You will set the tone, shape the conversation and keep people moving in the same direction. For the right person, this role offers real headroom. You will have the chance to lead accounts with a high degree of autonomy, with potential to progress into broader departmental leadership over time.

What you’ll do

  • Lead client relationships
  • Lead senior client relationships across key accounts
  • Build trust with Marketing Directors, senior stakeholders and budget holders
  • Understand your clients’ businesses, categories and commercial pressures
  • Challenge briefs constructively and help turn business problems into clear communications briefs
  • Keep clients informed, calm and confident
  • Build long-term partnership value, not just project-by-project delivery
  • Champion great creative work
  • Protect and push the quality of the work
  • Work closely with strategy and creative teams to shape strong briefs
  • Help direct the development of creative work with clarity and confidence
  • Evaluate ideas and give useful, constructive feedback
  • Present and sell creative work brilliantly to clients
  • Keep work on brief, on brand, on budget and creatively ambitious
  • Own account delivery
  • Lead a set of priority Quiet Storm accounts
  • Set clear expectations around timings, scope, budgets and responsibilities
  • Keep integrated projects moving across AV, digital, social, OOH and content
  • Guide AMs, PMs and wider teams to deliver to a high standard
  • Remove blockers before they slow the work down
  • Bring calm, clarity and momentum to the people around you
  • Drive commercial growth
  • Take responsibility for revenue, forecasting, margins and profitability across your accounts
  • Spot growth opportunities early and turn them into clear plans
  • Lead fee, scope and budget conversations with confidence
  • Negotiate with clients and procurement where needed
  • Report key financial information clearly to senior leadership
  • Help convert opportunities into profitable, creatively exciting work
  • Support new business
  • Play an active role in pitches and new business opportunities
  • Bring both a creative and commercial mindset to pitch responses
  • Help shape the strategic story and client experience
  • Build relationships with senior prospects and new client contacts
  • Represent Quiet Storm with confidence, warmth and credibility
  • Lead and develop people
  • Manage, coach and develop junior members of the account team
  • Give clear direction, honest feedback and proper support
  • Know when to encourage, when to challenge and when to take charge
  • Share credit generously and shoulder responsibility when things get difficult
  • Inspire teams inside and outside the core account group
  • Help raise the standard of account leadership across the agency

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone with strong creative agency experience who is ready to take on a bigger, more autonomous role. You will probably already be operating at Senior Account Director level, or be an ambitious Account Director ready for the next step. You should have:

  • Significant experience in an account leadership role within a creative agency
  • Experience leading highly creative accounts
  • Strong FMCG experience
  • Experience with travel, leisure, destination or entertainment brands would be a major plus
  • Proven experience delivering integrated campaigns across AV, digital, social, OOH and content
  • Strong client leadership skills, especially with senior stakeholders
  • Commercial confidence across forecasting, fees, scope, negotiation and margin control
  • Good strategic instincts and the ability to sharpen a brief or conversation
  • A strong understanding of how creativity drives business growth
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • A track record of growing accounts and deepening client relationships
  • The ability to lead teams with clarity, energy and emotional intelligence
  • Experience of, or appetite for, working in an independent agency would be a nice-to-have
