Liquid Personnel is recruiting Assistant Team Manager for its client's Families First (Non-Case Holding) Team at Spennymoor. This is a non-case holding role, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Worker, Senior Practitioner, Advanced Practitioner, or Assistant Team Manager looking to develop their leadership skills and move into a more supportive management-focused position.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Supporting the Team Manager with the day-to-day operational management of the team
  • Quality assuring assessments, plans, and casework
  • Chairing team and professional meetings
  • Providing guidance, mentoring, and support to Social Workers
  • Assisting with the allocation of work across the team
  • Supporting performance management and practice improvement
  • Undertaking any additional tasks required to support the Team Manager and wider service

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Strong knowledge of Children's Services and safeguarding practice
  • Experience supporting and developing practitioners
  • Previous management or supervisory experience is desirable but not essential
