An exciting job role has recently become available at the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council. They are looking for a new member for their Adults Community Team.
Responsibilities
- As a Qualified Social Worker in the Adults Community Team, you will assess the needs, risks, and strengths of adults, manage a caseload, and develop person-centred care plans.
- You will provide crisis intervention, collaborate with various agencies, and ensure safeguarding measures are in place.
- Additionally, you will supervise and support less experienced staff, empower clients to advocate for themselves, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Engaging in professional development and maintaining high standards of service are also key responsibilities.
- These duties aim to deliver high-quality, timely, and sustainable social work services to adults, their carers, and their families.

Requirements
- You will undertake reviews with challenging cases, providing an exemplary service in line with statutory requirements and departmental priorities, improving outcomes for adults, their carers, and their families.
- You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with health, housing, and other statutory and voluntary agencies to provide consistent, timely, quality, and financially sustainable social work services.
- At all times, you will identify areas of need and/or risk of harm and ensure appropriate safeguarding practices and measures are observed and in place.
Qualifications and Experience
- You must have Social Work England registration and be eligible to work in the UK.
- A full UK driving licence is required, along with post-qualified experience.
- Additionally, you should hold a degree level or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
