We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to join a growing facilities maintenance team, delivering planned and reactive building maintenance across a portfolio of commercial properties. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled individual with experience carrying out general fabric repairs and maintenance within commercial environments.
The Fabric Technician Role:
You will be responsible for maintaining the general condition of buildings and facilities, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Key duties will include:
- General building fabric maintenance and repairs
- Basic carpentry, plumbing and decorating works
- Repairing doors, locks, flooring, ceilings and partitions
- Minor roofing and external building repairs
- Painting and decorating as required
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks
- Responding to reactive maintenance requests
- Completing job sheets and maintenance reports
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures
- Liaising with site contacts and end users
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Fabric Technician, Handyperson, Multi-Trade Operative or Building Maintenance Engineer
- Experience working within commercial buildings
- Good all-round building maintenance skills
