We are looking for a fully qualified Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our busy, well-established independent garage and used car sales business.

The mechanic which this role is replacing was with us for 25 years and has now retired.

As a small family-run business open since 1987, we pride ourselves on providing honest, high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

We are well established and our google reviews speak for themselves.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, and is committed to delivering a first-class service.

Your day-to-day duties will include

  • Servicing and repairing a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles.
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and inspections.
  • Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Working independently and as part of a small team.

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
  • If not fully qualified but can do most if not all of the following jobs then still please get in touch for a chat !
  • Must be able to complete the following jobs - chain/belt replacement, Clutch work, Engine removal & repairs, Exhaust repairs, General servicing, Diagnostic capabilities.
  • Competitive salary based on experience - The annual basic salary for this Vehicle Technician role will be based on experience Basic salary of £32,000 to £40,000 & overtime available - TBD at interview stage
  • Monday to Friday 40 hour week (with Saturdays on rotation or as over time). We could be open to part time basis if we cannot fill this role.
  • Prefer previous experience working in an independent garage or dealership .
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Variety of work on different makes and models.
  • A reliable, positive attitude and excellent attention to detail.
