Deputy Team Manager

Job Opportunity: Deputy Team Manager Location: Sefton, Merseyside Salary: £43 per hour Contract: Temporary, Full-time Closing Date: Ongoing About the Role Sefton’s Council's Children’s Services is looking for an experienced Deputy Team Manager to join our supportive and passionate team within Children with Disabilities. Key Requirements: * Experience: Significant experience in a children’s social care setting, with a focus on children with disabilities, including experience in a management or supervisory role. * Qualifications: A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Social Work Degree, CQSW, or equivalent) and HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration. * Knowledge: A thorough understanding of the statutory and legal frameworks surrounding children’s services, particularly the Care Act, Children Act, and relevant safeguarding policies. * Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage competing demands effectively and work under pressure. * Teamwork: A collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary team and fostering strong relationships with external stakeholders. * Commitment: A commitment to delivering high-quality services and outcomes for children and young people with disabilities and their families. What We Are Looking For: * HCPC-registered Social Worker with current Social Work England registration. * Previous experience in children's services, ideally in Access and Assessment or early intervention roles. * Strong understanding of child protection procedures, safeguarding legislation, and assessment frameworks. * Ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively under pressure. * Proven track record of working autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent organisational and time management skills
