Weβre hiring a Mobile Service Engineer to join our fantastic team in Eccles, Manchester. The successful applicant will be offered an excellent package (DOE), pension scheme, bonus scheme, as well as company benefits including a top-of-the-line company vehicle and a clear pathway for career progression.
As a Mobile Engineer, you will visit a variety of customer sites within the depot catchment area and carry out maintenance, repairs and services on our machines to a high standard. In this role, you need to have good customer service skills and relevant experience or qualifications within the powered access rental industry.
You will be responsible for:
- Fault-finding, servicing, repairs and maintenance of a range of powered access equipment within the depot and on customers' sites.
- Possessing excellent fault diagnosis and repair skills and the ability to work alone or as part of a skilled team.
- Routine service and maintenance of all equipment and products.
- Completing all relevant supporting paperwork in line with company procedures.
- Carrying out refurbishment of equipment and products where necessary.
- Promoting teamwork between colleagues across all depots, to ensure delivery of an effective workshop performance.
- Liaising with the Depot and Engineering Management when spare parts are required to ensure cost-effective repairs.
- Ensuring the van is always fully equipped with spare parts.
- Maintaining and updating service records in line with Company procedures.
- Adhering to company guidelines on Health & Safety at Work.
- Adhering to damage recharge process, ensuring that all damage is highlighted.
- Maintaining and ensuring maximum productivity in line with company targets.
- Representing the company and values of the business and portraying a professional and business-like image to all customers, potential customers and other people you meet in the course of your work.
- Carrying out other tasks and duties as required.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have relevant qualifications (valid IPAF CAP Certification) and proven experience gained within the Construction Industry.
- Be experienced in plant, diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostic fault finding.
- Be ambitious & self-motivated with aspirations of becoming a manager.
- Be able to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
- Have good interpersonal skills and understanding of the importance of excellent customer service.
