We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Business Development Manager to drive sponsorship revenue across Questex's Hospitality and Operational Real Estate Division. This unique role will focus on engaging with Hotel Brands across Europe and the UK. Questex Hospitality leads the global hospitality investment community with flagship events such as the International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF EMEA), The Annual Hotel Conference (AHC), and the Resort & Residential Hospitality Forum (R&R), alongside editorial platform hospitalityinvestor.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling media solutions as well as Sponsorship. This role requires a consultative sales approach and the ability to cultivate long-term partnerships with diverse global stakeholders.

As a Business Development Manager working in a Hybrid capacity (3 days in the office and 2 days at home) you will serve as a strategic marketing consultant to your clients to help achieve their marketing objectives. You will be responsible for managing and developing a sales territory and working all phases of the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. In addition, we are looking for the Business Development Manager to participate in sales strategy and contribute ideas to develop new revenue opportunities and customer bases.

As our Business Development Manager, Events & Media you’ll support Questex’s success by:

  • Meets or exceeds forecasted sales (digital, marketing services, trade show/conference platforms) for territory of $1.1 M annually.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of the market and culture in order to attract new customers/business.
  • Performs extensive research on marketplace developing lists of new prospects and lists of existing accounts (tiered) for follow-up process.
  • Confers with sales management and other sales staff to develop growth opportunities.
  • Maintains strong industry credibility through visible attendance at trade shows and other product presentations, staying updated on new developments and technologies and communicating this information to both key existing accounts and potential new accounts.
  • Identifies and/or maximizes the sales opportunity for assigned properties in assigned tier of customer categories and determines actions to be taken on certain tier accounts.
  • Generates direct sales from cold calling, follow up calling and face-to-face meetings.
  • Maintains and utilizes Salesforce database for all client contact and scheduling.
  • Forecasts and reports revenue by maintaining sales pipelines within assigned territory.

College Degree in a related field preferred. Excellent presentation, writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
