Our client, a well-established organisation within the specialist vehicle sector, is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their Aftermarket team. This is a mobile, customer-facing role where you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing specialist vehicles both on-site and at company workshops. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring vehicles remain compliant, safe, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults on vehicle chassis and mounted equipment
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance to a high standard
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and ensure compliance with Department of Transport regulations
- Utilise diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve technical issues
- Accurately record all work using PDA systems and maintain detailed service documentation
- Travel to customer sites across the UK, including occasional short-notice visits
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
- Deliver a high level of customer service and communicate effectively with clients
