Questech Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who is a well-established company specialising in the manufacture, repair, and modification of truck bodies and chassis. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Welder to join their skilled workshop team.
The Shifts: Monday to Thursday 7am to 7pm for two weeks. Wednesday to Saturday 7am to 7pm for two weeks.
The Pay: £18.16 to £19.40 (D.O.E)
Key Responsibilities:
- Welding and fabrication of truck bodies and chassis
- Working with mild steel (and other materials as required)
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Carrying out repairs, modifications, and new builds
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a welder, ideally within commercial vehicles, truck bodies, or chassis work
- Competent in MIG welding (TIG/Stick an advantage)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
