Questech Recruitment are supporting a well-established and growing manufacturing business in the search for a Production Engineer to support ongoing improvements across its production operations. This role will focus on process optimisation, new product introduction (NPI), and implementing modern manufacturing technologies, acting as a key interface between Engineering and Production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, improving flow, takt time, and line balance
- Lead and support new product introduction (NPI) into manufacturing
- Introduce and develop automation and digital manufacturing systems
- Deliver Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) cost reduction initiatives
- Support prototype and proof-build activities
- Develop and maintain: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Build instructions, Process documentation and control systems
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and work cross-functionally to resolve them
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Production / Manufacturing Engineering role
- Background in vehicle manufacturing (essential)
- Strong knowledge of: Lean Manufacturing principles, VA/VE methodologies, Time and motion studies, Process improvement
