We are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Engineer to join our client's team based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with a strong manufacturing background who is confident working with engineering drawings and carrying out machine welding, MIG welding, assembly and general workshop duties.
The Role – Duties & Responsibilities
- Machine and MIG welding
- Assembly of finished goods
- Drilling and use of hand presses
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Carrying out general workshop duties
- Manual handling and heavy lifting
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
Essential Experience & Skills
- A minimum of 2 years' experience within a high-precision manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in a Workshop Engineer
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent communication skills
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding role involving heavy lifting on a daily basis
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm
Salary & Benefits
£28,000–£35,000 per annum, depending on experience
Two annual bonuses, dependent on company performance
