Questech are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to develop, maintain, and optimise control systems implementation including operation & maintenance procedures, make changes to PLC programs as required to improve machine function and rectify malfunctions and ensure that all production equipment is at its maximum availability at all times.

The Person:
- Must have NVQ Level 3 or above in Electrical Engineering / PLC programming, Electrical Maintenance (preferably degree level)
- PLC Knowledge and expertise
- Ability to write PLC programmes and provide software support
- Knowledge of data capture systems
- Fault finding and problem solving skills
- Advanced IT Skills
- Network knowledge and understanding
- Experience and knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and best practice
- Knowledge of ALBB Robots, Rapid
The Role:
- Ensure accurate software back ups are available and up to date for all PLC programs on site, new and existing equipment
- Modify PLC programs where required
- Liaise with staff and group for MES integration & new projects
- Create Work Instructions & Train Maintenance Staff in basic PLC & Camera fault finding
- Support the Maintenance Team where required to assist with PLC faults
