Questech Recruitment are supporting a well-established and growing manufacturing business in the search for a Mechanical Fitter to join their Production team. This is a hands-on role focused on mechanical assembly, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and delivering high-quality products within a structured production environment.
Location: Warwickshire
Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon–Thu 06:45–16:15)
Pay: Up to £17.73 per hour (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install mechanical components to engineering specifications
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Maintain high standards of quality and health & safety
- Work collaboratively to meet production targets and takt times
- Promote good housekeeping standards within the production area
- Use internal systems, including Production Management Systems (PMS)
- Remain flexible and support different departments when required
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Mechanical Fitter / Assembly / Production role
- Experience working in a takt time, single-line production environment
- Strong skills in:
- Mechanical assembly
- Hydraulic fitting
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable using computer-based production systems
