We are recruiting for a Fabricator / Welder to work for our client who are located in York.
The Duties
- Welding and fabricating components for heavy machinery
- Mig Welding
- General workshop duties
- Read, interpret, and work from technical drawings and specifications to determine appropriate welding methods and techniques.
- Inspect welded joints and completed work to ensure quality compliance and structural integrity
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with all health and safety protocols
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals, schedules, and deadlines
- Assist with troubleshooting welding processes, techniques, and equipment issues as required
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently
Essential Experiences & Skills
- Minimum 2 years' experience working within a Welding role
- Excellent attention to detail with a quality-focused approach
- Mechanical knowledge
The Hours
Days: Monday - Thursday 7am - 3.30pm (12-minute unpaid break 10am & 30 mins unpaid lunch at 1:30pm). Friday 6am - 2:30pm (12-minute unpaid break at 10am).
The Pay
You will earn an hourly rate of £16.50-£18
