Our client is a successful and well-established manufacturer. They are currently recruiting for a CAD Engineer / CAD Technician to join their team. This role would suit someone from an engineering background with experience of utilising CAD with Autodesk Inventor. The role of the CAD Engineer is to produce general arrangement and detailed manufacturing drawings, working collaboratively with the in-house Engineering and Operations teams, ensuring the highest possible standards are met in terms of their customer’s expectations.

  • Hours of work: Monday – Thursday, 8.30am – 5.00pm, and Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm.
  • Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience + Great benefits.

  • Experience working for a company producing large fabrication, heavy assembly products is essential, ideally one serving the Acoustic Container, Data Centre cooling sectors, or similar.
  • You have an advanced level user knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and Vault software (Essential).
  • Extensive experience producing 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor (Essential).
  • Microsoft Office skills (Essential).

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Working from designs provided by the Engineering Team, produce high-quality 3D models of their products.
  • Produce initial GA drawings to submit for customer approval and develop them into detailed manufacturing drawings.
