Job Description: HGV Technician in the Whitehaven area
Days – 37 - 8am-4pm

Questech Automotive Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of their client for an experienced HGV Technician. This is a days role and can be PAYE, UMBRELLA OR LTD. We are looking for Technicians/mechanics from a Commercial, HGV, PSV or LGV background. You will be an apprentice trained, fully qualified Technician that has experience working with a variety of LGV or HGV vehicles.
ROLE- Conduct routine inspections and comprehensive diagnostics on HGVs to identify faults and issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
- Utilise fabrication, welding, soldering, and schematics to carry out specialised repairs or modifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators and forklifts to facilitate repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of work carried out, parts used, and repairs performed in compliance with company standards.
- Ensure all work adheres to health & safety regulations and industry standards.
- Assist with vehicle assembly or modifications as required, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair status and vehicle condition.
- Undertake heavy lifting tasks safely as part of routine maintenance activities.
- Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance & repair or an equivalent qualification
- Strong customer service skills

- Ability to tackle all aspects of vehicle repair and servicing.
