HGV Technician Location: Weston-super-Mare Salary: £42,300 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 45 hours per week, rotating shifts Overtime: Paid at time and a half after 45 hours Questech Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to maintain and repair a varied municipal fleet in Weston-super-Mare. The fleet includes HGV tractor units, gully tankers, roll-on/roll-off vehicles and skip vehicles. The Role * Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance. * Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults. * Prepare vehicles for MOT and rectify defects. * Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately. * Work closely with the workshop team to keep vehicles safe, reliable and available. * Maintain a safe and tidy working environment. What We’re Looking For * Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter. * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * A Level 3 qualification in HGV maintenance and repair is desirable. * An HGV Class 2 licence is desirable. Working Hours Rotating shifts across a 45-hour working week: * Week 1: 06:00–15:30 * Week 2: 08:30–18:30 Pay and Benefits * £42,300 per annum * Overtime paid at time and a half after 45 hours. * Company pension. * Holiday entitlement. * Permanent employment.
