Our client is looking for an experienced Fields Service Engineer / Workshop Technician to work onsite at customers' locations throughout the UK and Ireland (sometimes Europe), and also work on-site at their depot near Wakefield (approximately 50/50 split with field work and workshop based). The job will involve building, servicing and repairing plate heat exchangers.

Salary: £31,000 - £34,000 (depending on experience) + Overtime (including weekends when available) + Company Van

Hours of work: Standard day hours, Monday to Friday, however some flexibility is required for early starts, late finishes and overtime (paid for).

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • You must have experience of working on Plate Heat Exchangers (PHE), or a very similar product.
  • You are willing and able to travel as and when required, including overnight stays (all expenses are paid for).
  • You have a full clean UK driving license.
  • Solution oriented, with a problem solving attitude.
  • Customer focused, with an eye for quality and professionalism.
  • Being able to work alone and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Service plate heat exchangers at customer sites across the UK and Ireland (occasional international travel, mainly Europe).
  • Service plate heat exchangers in-house when not in the field.
  • Build new plate heat exchangers when required.
  • Represent the company by coming across polite and professional when visiting customers.
  • Ensure that the right materials and tools are in place/taken when carrying out onsite work – all tools & materials will be provided/available prior to site attendance.
  • When needed assisting the sales team with a good customer experience and site surveys.
