We are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join one of our well-established furniture manufacturing clients in the Washington area.
Shifts: Monday to Friday (day shift - 7.5 hours a day)
Salary: Β£42,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns on CNC routers, edgebanders, saws, drills, wood burners, woodchippers, and dust extraction systems.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
- Keep accurate maintenance and service records.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Time-served engineer or relevant qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering.
- 18th Edition.
- Proven experience maintaining woodworking machinery.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- PLC fault finding experience (advantageous but not essential).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Flexible to provide cover out of hours when needed.
- A proactive approach to work.
- Full UK driving license.
- Woodworking machinery experience is desired.
