About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and organised Store Keeper to join a busy bus depot. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with stores, warehouse, or inventory experience who is looking for a long-term position with the potential to secure a permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the receipt, storage, and issue of vehicle parts, tools, and consumables.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory levels.
  • Processing deliveries and checking goods received against delivery notes.
  • Picking and issuing parts to engineering and maintenance teams.
  • Conducting regular stock checks and cycle counts.
  • Ensuring the stores area is kept clean, organised, and safe.
  • Liaising with suppliers and depot staff regarding stock requirements.
  • Recording stock movements using manual and/or computerised systems.
  • Supporting the engineering team with parts availability and stock control.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, inventory, or stock control role.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Strong communication skills.
