We\’re recruiting on behalf of our client based close to Newark. This business has grown at a fantastic rate and have ambitious plans for this to continue. We are recruiting a Site Engineering Manager for their processing operation, the role is a senior leadership role and is key to the planned expansion of the business. This role is unique and doesn\’t come around often. If you\’re looking to embark on a rewarding and challenging role within a growing business then look no further. The Person: * Have experience in an engineering leadership role. * Experience in a Processing or Manufacturing business. * 5 years + experience in a Managerial role. * Commercial awareness. * The ability to contribute to profitability and strategic decisions. * Apprentice trained with further education undertaken in an engineering discipline. The Role: * Lead, develop and motivate a team of engineers who work a 24/7 shift pattern. * Serve as the technical authority on engineering principles and plant knowledge. * Lead and manage direct reports including Mechanical Engineering Coordinator, Electrical Manager, Software & Control Engineer, Effluent Treatment Plant Supervisor, Site Facilities Manager, and Purchasing & Inventory Manager. * Oversee shift-based and day engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, installation, and water treatment). * Drive projects forward and contribute to Senior Management Team decision-making. * Optimise plant operations by resolving issues quickly and reducing downtime. * Develop and manage MRP processes to minimise total cost of ownership. * Oversee recruitment of engineering staff, and implement and monitor KPIs. * Provide detailed reports in senior management meetings. * Maintain good inter-department relationships to ensure smooth running of the plant. * Monitor and mentor apprentice\’s through their apprenticeship journey.
