Quoting Engineer in Dewsbury

QUOTING ENGINEER

We are recruiting for an Quoting Engineer to work for our client who are located near Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

THE DUTIES OF A QUOTING ENGINEER:

Quotation Preparation – Develop detailed cost estimates for projects/ components.

Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and specifications to develop cost estimates

Communicate with customers to clarify technical or commercial requirements.

Work with engineering, production, and procurement teams to gather information and validate estimates.

Maintain accurate records of quotes, cost breakdowns, and assumptions.

Enter and maintain job details in the ERP/MRP system

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Basic knowledge of CNC machining processes and terminology (Desirable not essential)
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Fusion 360) (Desirable not essential)

THE HOURS:

Working on days Monday Friday 7/8 am start up to 4pm finish

THE PAY:

You will earn between £25,000 to £30,000 per annum depending on experience.
