Our client is a well-established and successful Print company. They are looking for an Estimator to co-ordinate, produce and ensure efficient, accurate and timely estimates. Vacancies at both Howden and Hull sites.

Requirements:

  • A good knowledge of the Print industry, the Print market and competitors
  • Previous working experience within estimating team, ideally within Print industry
  • In depth knowledge of all estimating processes
  • Sound working knowledge of computing systems (Tharstens is desirable)
  • A working knowledge of company cost centres/codes
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to rapidly changing work priorities, with ability to remain calm under pressure and as a team
  • Full UK driving license and own transport

As an Estimator you will:

  • Consistent attainment of agreed estimating targets within given timescales
  • All estimates meet customer & company specified requirements and quality standards
  • Reduction of estimating costs
  • Work as part of the estimating team to ensure the company goals are met
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to work

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously review workload throughout the day to ensure efficiency of quotes produced taking into account customer priority lists.
  • Review work in progress raising any anomalies or queries with commercial team and account management teams to ensure best price is generated.
  • Work in accordance with company operating and quality procedures at all times to ensure compliance with working practices & standards.
  • Carry out projects as instructed by meeting project objectives and deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably correspond to the general requirements of the post and are appropriate with its level of responsibility in order to contribute to the success of the Company.
  • Continually train and train others in all aspects of the estimating process to assist the development of individuals and the team.
  • Be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Legislation and Company Policy; for maintaining safe working conditions including equipment; for drawing attention to hazards and to take reasonable care of ourselves and others.
  • Ensure that all necessary safety devices and protective equipment are used, and to co-operate in the operation of the Health & Safety Policy at all times.
  • Comply with the Quality and Security policies and procedures.

Salary, hours and benefits:

  • Salary £28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
  • Normal day working hours, Monday to Friday
  • 24 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays
  • Salary sacrifice holiday scheme to buy up to 5 days per year
  • Free parking

Previous suitable job titles will include: Print Sales Estimator, Estimating Manager, Estimating Technician, Print Production Estimator, Printing Estimator, Commercial Executive / Commercial Estimator.
