We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Grinder to work for our client who are located in Otley, Leeds, West Yorkshire. To produce high-accuracy parts and finishes through CNC grinding operations, meeting tolerance, surface finish and delivery requirements.

THE DUTIES OF A CNC GRINDER:

  • Set and operate CNC grinding machines (Experience on Studer machines is advantageous)
  • Select wheels, dress and maintain wheel condition to sustain accuracy and finish.
  • Control heat input and process stability to protect part integrity and achieve specification.
  • Carry out first-off and in-process checks and record results as required.
  • Complete travellers, traceability and inspection records.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

  • Practical grinding experience in a precision engineering environment.
  • Confidence measuring tight tolerances and controlling surface finish.
  • Disciplined approach to safety, cleanliness and process control.
  • Reliable, methodical working style and attention to detail.

THE HOURS: Rotating shifts Early Shift: 05:50 - 14:10) (Late Shift: 14:00 - 12:20) one week of earlies then one week of lates. Late shift is only Mon-Thurs whereas early is Mon-Fri

THE PAY: You will earn an hourly rate of between £16 to £18 an hour depending on experience. Quarterly bonus scheme available.
