Questech are recruiting on behalf of our client in Leeds for an experienced Number 1 Printer.\\n\\nThis client are experiencing substantial growth and are looking to expand their team.\\n\\nIf you're looking to embark on a career with an industry leading business then this could be the ideal opportunity for you.\\n\\nTo print a quality image and / or text on to reels of film, ensuring that it meets customer design and specification.\\n\\nDuties:\\n\\n * To set up the print press to the correct specification set out on the order sheet\\n\\n * Remove and replace sleeves\\n\\n * Change mandrills as required / Change Anilox rollers as required / Change doctor blades as required\\n\\n * Enter job description on OCS screen\\n\\n * Set machine tensions\\n\\n * Set ink and plate pressures to “kiss touch” either by smartGPS or manual machine controls\\n\\n * Set into register either by smartGPS or manual machine controls\\n\\n * Carry out mounting checks\\n\\n * Match colours in conjunction with Ink Technician, using the supplied instructions for either new designs or repeat orders\\n\\n * Check ink viscosity / Check colour match using Xrite colour computer / Check bar codes / Check text using light box\\n\\n * Ensure all checks are counter signed by printer No 2 or other authorised person\\n\\n * During run mode\\n\\n * Monitor ink control\\n\\n * Set up AVT / Eltromat system\\n\\n * Maintain quality checks\\n\\n * Sort out defects by splicing out faulty film\\n\\n * Produce traceability labels\\n\\nKey responsibilities\\n\\n * Understand and work to the standards in the Company Health & Safety Policy at all times comply with the Employees Duties and Responsibilities referenced in the Company Health & Safety Policy\\n\\n * Comply with the Company Accident Reporting / First Aid Procedures and the Company Near Hit / Close Call Reporting Procedures understand the RM safety rules and adhere to them at all times\\n\\n * Understand the principle of risk assessment and to always follow safe methods of work and the control measures applicable to specific jobs\\n\\n * Ensure earthing clips are fixed to all required ink and solvent containers\\n\\n * Ensure all open ink and solvent containers have lids fitted and ink pumps have lids closed to reduce fugitive emissions\\n\\n * Always work and behave in a safe and responsible manner,\\n\\n * Comply with all instructions given with regard to health and safety\\n\\n * At all times wear the appropriate PPE, that is “fit for purpose” and to replace any PPE that is not\\n\\n * Complete and successfully pass all training within the required time frame\\n\\n * Be aware of your responsibilities and to act within the guidelines of the Company Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Policy (COSHH)\\n\\n * Report any acts of unsafe behaviour or potentially dangerous conditions to the Shift Manager or to the H& Manager\\n\\n * Constantly consider ways to improve health and safety and to inform the Shift Manager or SHE H&S Manager of these\\n\\n * Only operate machinery or do any jobs in which you have received full training and have been signed as competent to do so\\n\\nThe shifts:\\n\\nMonday to Friday – 12 hour shifts – Days and Nights\\n\\nThe salary for this role is between £40,000pa – £45,000pa (Dependant on Experience)\\n\\nFor more information regarding this position contact\\n\\nLaura Riding\\n\\nQuestech Recruitment Ltd
