The Automotive maintenance division of Questech currently have an exciting new position, located in Lincoln as an MOT Tester. This is an excellent career opportunity and a chance to work for a company that believes in providing great benefits for employees as well as constant career progression.
THE ROLE: To conduct MOT inspections, issue MOT documentation, ensure security of MOT certification process and implement the MOT scheme in compliance with Vehicle & Operator Services Agency (VOSA) or (DVSA) and company requirements.
THE DUTIES:
- Perform the test to the standards laid down by DVSA/VOSA per their instructions contained in the current Tester’s Manual, “The MOT Testers Guide”, “VTS Device User Guide” and any other supplementary information e.g. Special Notices.
- Take sufficient time to correctly inspect the vehicle (there is no upper or lower time limit – the duration of the test will depend on the age and type of vehicle submitted for the test).
THE HOURS: You will work 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Saturdays or Sundays may be required.
THE RATE OF PAY: You will earn an hourly rate of between £20 - £25 per hour depending on experience. Overtime is available and paid at an enhanced rate.
