Incoming Goods Inspector – Quality Department

Location: Leeds Pay Rate: Β£12.82 per hour Hours: Full-time, 39 hours over 5 days Working hours: 07:30–15:45 (30-minute unpaid lunch)

We are seeking an experienced Incoming Goods Inspector to join our Quality team in Leeds.

The successful candidate will inspect incoming parts and materials to ensure they meet required quality and specification standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming parts and assemblies for quality, dimensions, tolerances and workmanship.
  • Use equipment including micrometers, calipers and gauge pins.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances.
  • Approve, reject and report non-conforming materials, including raising NCRs.
  • Inspect and process regrind tool orders and quotations.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and logs.
  • Operate laser etching equipment in line with company procedures.
  • Support quality and process improvements.
  • Work effectively with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

About You

  • Previous quality inspection experience preferred.
  • Confident using dimensional measuring equipment.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Experience using an ERP system.
  • Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Self-motivated, organised and a good team player.
  • Reporting to: Quality Manager

This is a full-time opportunity to join an established Quality team within a technical manufacturing environment.
