Questech Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join a successful and growing organisation based in Hemswell.

As Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of engineers, ensuring maintenance and engineering activities are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The Pay
Up to £56,500 per year depending on experaince

The Shifts
4 on 4 off (Days and Nights) 12 hour shifts.

The Role

  • Lead, motivate and manage a team of engineering and maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure equipment and machinery remain operational and reliable.
  • Allocate engineering tasks and monitor progress to ensure work is completed effectively.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team.
  • Promote a strong culture of health & safety across the engineering function.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and performance.
  • Support fault-finding and breakdown resolution.
  • Assist with planned maintenance, continuous improvement and engineering projects.
  • Ensure engineering records, maintenance schedules and relevant documentation are maintained.
  • Work closely with production and other departments to minimise downtime.
  • Coach and develop members of the engineering team.

The Person
The successful Engineering Team Leader will ideally have

  • Previous experience in an Engineering Team Leader, Engineering Supervisor, Senior Engineer or similar position.
  • A strong engineering background, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Recognised engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge (multi skilled).
  • Experience leading or supervising an engineering team.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
