As Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of engineers, ensuring maintenance and engineering activities are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The Pay
Up to £56,500 per year depending on experaince
The Shifts
4 on 4 off (Days and Nights) 12 hour shifts.
The Role
- Lead, motivate and manage a team of engineering and maintenance personnel.
- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Ensure equipment and machinery remain operational and reliable.
- Allocate engineering tasks and monitor progress to ensure work is completed effectively.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team.
- Promote a strong culture of health & safety across the engineering function.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and performance.
- Support fault-finding and breakdown resolution.
- Assist with planned maintenance, continuous improvement and engineering projects.
- Ensure engineering records, maintenance schedules and relevant documentation are maintained.
- Work closely with production and other departments to minimise downtime.
- Coach and develop members of the engineering team.
The Person
The successful Engineering Team Leader will ideally have
- Previous experience in an Engineering Team Leader, Engineering Supervisor, Senior Engineer or similar position.
- A strong engineering background, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Recognised engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent).
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge (multi skilled).
- Experience leading or supervising an engineering team.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
