Description

Questech Automotive Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client, who is an Automotive market leader in the UK, who are recruiting for experienced Vehicle Technicians on a permanent basis.

We are looking for Technicians/mechanics from a HGV or PSV background.

Shifts include: Monday to Friday Days & Lates

4 on 4 off Days, Lates & Nights

This is based on a min 40-hour week.

If you are a level 3 qualified Technician with a proven track record as a Mechanic then we would love to hear from you.

Time-served technicians will also be considered.

The role of HGV Technician / Truck Mechanic:

  • Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
  • Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment
  • Support workshops team members including Apprentice Technicians as required.
  • Accurately record time to complete jobs and associated details
  • Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency

Skills & Experience of HGV Technician / Truck Mechanic:

  • Level 3 Motor Vehicle Mechanics City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent.
  • 4 Years + as a HGV Mechanic
  • Previous experience as a qualified Fitter/Mechanic/Engineer
  • Possession of own tools
  • Driving licence is a must
  • Class 1 or 2 licence is desirable
