Job Description

Questech Automotive Recruitment are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join a dynamic team in a succesful company who reward skill and dedication with ongoing training, career progression and a supportive team culture.\\n\\nThis role will be 45 hours per week | between 07:00 and 16:30 Monday to Friday.\\nThe company offers 40-hour and 26-hour per week options to fit your needs.\\n\\nThe salary for this role is between £40,000 – £43,400 pa DOE (based on 45hpw)\\n\\nAs well as a generous basic salary, our client also offers other benefits including\\n\\n * Dedicated Healthcare\\n\\n * 5% Pension scheme\\n\\n * Manufacturer training\\n\\nThe person:\\n\\n * NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance\\n\\n * Proven experience in commercial vehicle repair and servicing\\n\\n * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills\\n\\n * Understanding of electronics, hydraulics, and wiring diagrams\\n\\n * Excellent communication and customer service skills\\n\\n * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively\\n\\n * Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including overtime\\n\\n * Experience with electric vehicles, IRTEC qualification, or HGV Class 2 licence is a bonus\\n\\nThe Role:\\n\\n * Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on chassis and mounted equipment\\n\\n * Service vehicles to VOSA standards and prepare them for MOT inspections\\n\\n * Complete body and chassis repairs and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications\\n\\n * Maintain accurate records and enter job details into company systems\\n\\n * Liaise professionally with customers and work independently at customer sites\\n\\n * Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to company standards\\n\\n * Follow health and safety procedures and conduct risk assessments where required\\n\\n * Undertake training to enhance technical skills and knowledge\\n\\nContact:\\nElle France\\nQuestech Recruitment\\n\\nQuestech Recruitment is a specialist engineering support within the road transport industry, our focus is to support many clients within the truck and bus sectors across the UK.
