We are recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester/Service Technician to work for our client who are in Halifax, West Yorkshire. This is a Temp Assignment – 6 weeks (Could be extended).
THE DUTIES:
- Carry out planned maintenance and responsive repairs on HGVs, light commercial vehicles, cars, accessible buses, plant, and associated equipment to a high standard.
- Diagnose faults and complete mechanical, electrical, and general vehicle repairs efficiently and safely.
- Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns and attend roadside or on-site breakdowns and accidents as required.
- Perform MOT testing for Class 4, 5, and 7 vehicles in accordance with current regulations and standards.
- Conduct private hire and hackney carriage compliance inspections and tests safely and competently.
- Take appropriate enforcement action where vehicles are suspended following compliance testing.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience being a MOT Tester is essential.
- Must have a Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or Equivalent).
- Must be able to provide MOT Tester Qualification Certificate.
- Be able to show your Annual Assessment Certificate.
- You will be required to drive and have a current driving licence ideally for HGV class C1 and D1 categories.
THE HOURS:
This is a Temp Assignment – 6 weeks (Could be extended). Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm.
THE PAY:
You will earn an hourly rate between £22 - £30 per hour.
