Questech Automotive Recruitment are seeking a skilled Field Service HGV Technician to join a dynamic team in a successful company who reward skill and dedication with ongoing training, career progression and a supportive team culture.
If you are working as an HGV Technician and looking to be field based in Yorkshire then please apply for the role.
Salary: £40,000 - £43,500 DOE (based on 45 hour week) + Vehicle + bonus.
Working hours: 45 hours between 08:00 and 17:30 Monday to Friday.
The Role:
- Diagnose and repair faults on vehicle chassis and mounted equipment.
- Carry out servicing and maintenance to a high standard.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections.
- Use diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues.
- Travel to customer sites across the UK, sometimes at short notice.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Communicate clearly with customers and provide excellent service.
- Support health and safety practices and complete risk assessments as required.
The person:
- NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in Heavy Vehicles.
- Previous experience in a field service, HGV Mechanic, workshop engineer role.
- Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills.
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible with working hours.
