We are recruiting for an experienced CNC TURNER to work for our client who are located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Our Client is a long established Precision Engineering company that produces a wide variety of high-quality machined components. They currently have an opening for a skilled CNC TURNER Programmer, Setter, Operator to join our small friendly team. We support several 'Blue Chip' customers across the country with their precision component requirements.

Main accountabilities

  • To programme, set and operate Turning Centres with Fanuc control. Experience with other control systems would be considered.

Key skills

  • Previous programming, setting & operating experience producing 1 off's & small batches in a wide range of materials, including exotics.
  • Quality checking your own work using micrometers, bore mic's, etc.
  • Reading engineering drawings.
  • Working to tight tolerances.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing background or Apprentice trained.
  • Experience producing high quality one offs and small batches.
  • Excellent communication skills.

The hours

You will be working days 39 hours a week. Mon - Thurs: 7am - 5.15pm. Overtime Available.

The pay / benefits

  • You will earn an hourly rate of £18 min.
  • 257 hrs holiday (includes stats).
  • 4 day working week.
  • Overtime when required at x1.5.
  • Working in a modern/ clean environment.
  • Free car parking.
  • Opportunity to use/ learn Fusion 360 CADCAM.
