Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer.
They are looking for an experienced Machine Operative / Production Operative to join their busy manufacturing team.

- You consider yourself to be physically fit, as standing for 12 hours is a requirement of the job.
- Solid experience of working as a Production Operator / Manufacturing Operative in a continuous manufacturing environment (at least 3 years).
- Experience of working with large manufacturing machinery is ideal (any experience in plastic manufacturing would be ideal, but not essential, e. g.
Injection Moulding / Plastic Extrusion).
- Experience of general quality checking finished products, with an eye for detail.
- Experience of working to production targets, and doing all necessary to ensure these are met.
- Happy to work 12 hours shifts, days and nights on rotation.
Salary: To be discussed following application Hours of work: 3 on 3 off, Days and Nights on rotation, 12 hour shifts (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am)
Responsibilities
- Operating and overseeing heavy manufacturing machinery.
- Carrying out and record quality checks using tools like pi-tapes, micrometers, tape measures, vernier gauges, plug-gauges.
- Work to production targets and record scrap, output, product weight and OEE.
- Reporting any production/machine issues to management to ensure continuous production.
- Operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE), training will be given, any experience is an advantage.
- Quality checking products, looking for defects and adjusting production accordingly.
- Train new starters once you are fully trained and competent yourself.
- Any other duties requested by management to assist with continuous production.
This job would suit someone with experience of working a hands-on role in a manufacturing, factory, production environment.
