A well-established organisation is seeking an organised and customer-focused Parts Person to join its busy Aftermarket team. This is a varied and hands-on role supporting the efficient operation of the parts department. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing parts orders, managing stock, supporting engineers and depots, and delivering excellent customer service. Working closely with the Parts Advisor and wider operational teams, they will play a key role in ensuring parts are available when needed to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer stock control across service vans, workshops, depots, and contract sites
- Process parts orders accurately and within required timescales
- Assist with parts identification, warranty claims, and returns processing
- Support customer orders, backorders, and special delivery requirements
- Maintain accurate records and administrative processes
- Ensure work areas remain clean, organised, and compliant with company standards
- Respond to customer enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Assist with stock audits and inventory checks
- Operate in accordance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements
Candidate Requirements
- Previous administration and customer service experience
- Experience within a parts department, workshop environment, or stock control role (preferred)
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive and results-focused approach
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Flexibility to work additional hours when required
- Willingness to travel between office locations and occasionally enter and exit vehicles as part of operational duties
