Questech Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who is a well-established company specialising in the manufacture, repair, and modification of truck bodies and chassis. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Welder to join their skilled workshop team.
Shifts: Monday to Thursday 7am to 7pm for two weeks; Wednesday to Saturday 7am to 7pm for two weeks.
Pay: £18.16 to £19.40 (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:- Welding and fabrication of truck bodies and chassis
- Working with mild steel (and other materials as required)
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Carrying out repairs, modifications, and new builds
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Proven experience as a welder, ideally within commercial vehicles, truck bodies, or chassis work
- Competent in MIG welding (TIG/Stick an advantage)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Competitive pay with potential for overtime
